1. The first part of 'Alan Wilder - Collected' - a 2011 documentary film directed by Martin Vladar is now on-line. Click HERE to view part 1 of 4. Parts 2, 3 and 4 will appear over the coming weeks.
Alan Wilder - Collected is a documentary about the musician and producer Alan Wilder. Vladar worked personally with Alan Wilder and his estate in the UK: at Wilder's Sussex residence, he discovered the house was filled with memorabilia spanning 35 years of a career spent in music, most notably during the 80s and 90s covering the musician's stint with one of the most famous & successful bands of all time, Depeche Mode.
Vladar's intent was not to create a biography but rather to understand Wilder by studying the producer's vast personal collection and relating it's significance to the many iconic photographs, TV and live performances where most of the uncovered items first appeared. We witness how the musician is reunited with his lost sounds when Wilder tries out his old Sampler after 25 years, and we discover which unreleased records he has the only copies of, along with access to the very first acetate pressings of Depeche Mode's 'Violator' and the '101' album recorded at The Rosebowl, Pasadena in 1988.
What we end up with is a moving, funny and ultimately fascinating retrospective of a career which has touched millions of fans. Alan Wilder is noted for his meticulous detailing in music, and that has clearly been translated into the production of this collection.

Goodbye 2010, Hello 2011! Oh what a year. I finished 2010 with some great shows in Russia. My slot at Maschinenfest was also something very special and I am glad, I made it out alright:) But 2011 just begun and its gonna be the busiest year in my life, I guess. All the remixes made it to my harddrive and now I will pick together with s.alt all the tracks, that are gonna be on the remix album.
I will write a more detailed info soon about that. Now I have to go back to the studio. I just finished remixes for Combichrist and conjure one and I am about to finish my remix for Hecq´s new album. I also confirmed a few live shows but I am still looking for more. I will prepare a new liveset with new tracks and a new show for all the upcoming gigs. So contact albert.diehl@contribe.de if you want to see Architect live in your city.
A glorious 2011 to all of you!

It took me a while to get back on the track, but now I had a day of rest and I want to finish this little tourdiary.
It was a pleasure and a privilege, to play and travel with such a great bunch of people.
I met my heroes from my past, I played together with my idol and I can say, I had the time of my life.
My last show on the north america tour ended in NYC and it was a great one. I met the number one
posterboy in the world, and he looked flawless! Dave Gahan, man, you are one sexy mf.
I also met the voice of my past 4 years... Krister Linder. He is with me on every tour on my iPod and I
finally got the chance to meet him. He is so humble and passionate about music, its very rare to find
these days. I hope, I get the chance to work with him in the future.
I had to say goodbye to Alan, Peddy, Paul, Britt and Igor and I am looking forward to see them again on
my last batch of the Recoil Selected events in Berlin, Dresden and Warsaw.
Here are some last impressions of the tour. I hope, you enjoy the pictures as much as I do. My G9 camera
is gonna leave me soon, I am looking for an upgrade.
I heard, the G12 also takes HD movies;)
Thanks again, everybody and thank you Jessi for making all this public and helping me with this website.

Hello from Toronto Canada!
The tour is almost over. It´s pretty sad, since our group of six people warmed up and we had some pretty
nice days and nights along this trip. Yesterday on our aftershowparty in Toronto we finally hung out for the
first time all together for a drink. Damn, that was a blast ;) we ended up at a Falafel house right next to the club.
The Montreal show was unfortunately cancelled, but that was actually very welcome, since I finally could
catch up on some sleep.
Also I got some pretty good news today. I am gonna end the Maschinenfest in Oberhausen this year. I am the
last act amongst a shitload of cool bands. My friends from Subheim and Niveau Zero are also gonna perform.
come out and support this superb festival. The full lineup and schedule is here: MASCHINENFEST.
The download package of my "Want" remixes reached the 80.000 mark!!!! that is funfuckingtastic, hahahaha.
Get it HERE , if you dont have it by now.
And here are some shots from the last few days. I love my little camera!!!

sorry, for a couple of days of silence, but california can be a bitch;) san francisco was nice.
I love this city, thats why there are a few more pictures than usual. we had a great dinner
the night before the show at a little sushi restaurant. I think, I like the Nigori Sake alot!
the show itself was kinda slow. People didnt move much. But the venue was beautiful
and the crew very professional: MEZZANINE
The day after I had to fly out to Los Angeles. There was no more room in the van, because
we got a few more merch boxes for Recoil. so I decided to go early, to see my friend Colin
and hang out in Venice for a bit. I miss that, I love the beach so much!
the show later yesterday was at the el rey theatre. Fucking amazing. My favourite venue
in the U.S. so far. Great sound, great crew... but they cut my set fucking short. Before my 5th
song the stagemanager came up to me and told me: you have 5 more minutes.
I was pissed and shocked, I played for only 20 minutes!!! it was the best set I did on this tour
up until that point. Well, what can you do... here are some impressions from me and a couple
of pictures with me on stage from Daniel Dvorsky.
PS: the guy with the blue jeans shot from behind is Rob Schneider. He was on the plane with
me. My first paparazzi shot ever, hahaha

Damn, what a trip.
Just drove 13 hours from Portland to San Francisco!!
but it was worth it, the city welcomes us with a big smile and the weather
couldn´t be better. Today is a day off.
We´re gonna have dinner later with a few of Alans friends. Looking forward to that.
The show in Portland last night
was the best for me so far on this tour. I had my friend Leah there, who was
also driving me and Peddy to the Apple Store... you can imagine how this ended, hahaha
Here are some more impressions from Seattle and Portland.

Last nights show must be one of the weirdest in my life.
We played in seattle at this club called: TRIPLE DOOR and it was some kind of cabarett/theatre/restaurant place.
People were sittingin front of the stage, eating their dinner, while I was trying to entertain mostly myself on stage, hahaha. Here are
three great pictures from Jenny Sturgis from the show:

I will arrange the pictures I took last night on our drive to Portland and I will post some pix from the Recoil show
as well later today.
The tour is going well so far. The crowd response is really good. I am surprised.
I was afraid it would be more like the poor bands, that support dm on their shows;) good for me, I guess, haha

Arrived savely after a rough landing in Seattle.
Our hotel is pretty nice, but a little far from the center.
We had dinner at SHULTZYS and I had a nice beer from home: KÖSTRITZER and
wrote a couple of new tunes for the show. I think, I will basically finish the preproduction for the
album on this tour. I got a lot of great ideas and with my new sequencer program I can just spit
the tracks out in no time;) be prepared for some nice new tunes after the tour!

So this is the launch of the official Architect Website. Just in time for the start of the U.S.Tour with Recoil.
I am very excited about this and I wrote several new tracks only
for this tour. I am planning a little tour diary with pictures and videos and lets
start with some impressions from last week, where I had a couple of days off.
You can find all the tour dates here: BLOG.RECOIL
